INSPIRATION

FOR EDUCATORS

Sometimes we take on too much and forget about ourselves. This can have devastating effects on your personal and professional life. Do something to make yourself succeed in both areas. Take care of yourself because you deserve it!

The three words to the right have become the foundation of my teaching practice. I have found that simple preparations and systems are the key to an effective learning environment.

Do What You Love

By doing what you love, you inspire and awaken the hearts of others.

Progress Matters

Strive for progress, not perfection.

Prepare

Schedule and plan as much as you can to prepare for what is ahead. This will ensure you are delivering quality instruction and have time for valuable feedback for your students.

Relax

Take some time for yourself and go for a walk, read a book, listen to the sounds outside, spend 10 minutes in the sun, or spend 5 minutes breathing in fresh outside air.

Reflect

Think about your teaching practice and your interactions with students, colleagues, and families. What is working and what needs to change?
